John Deere Offers Credit Financing

New John Deere Credit landscapes financing plans for homeowners are having a major impact on the green industry nationwide by increasing demand for landscape goods and services, reported Michael McGrady, Senior Vice President, John Deere Landscapes. “John Deere Credit financing packages not only present exciting new opportunities for homeowners - they are having a positive effect on all segments of the landscapes industry from nursery suppliers to installation contractors,” said McGrady.

Professional contractors who offer John Deere Credit financing plans are now selling their clients enhanced packages, including automated irrigation systems, landscape lighting, extensive nursery products, patios, decks, hardscape and paving, ponds, water features and more. Today’s homeowners recognize improvements can substantially enhance property values.

“From irrigation and lighting installers to landscapes designers and nursery growers – professionals in all segments of the industry are seeing immediate benefits from the new John Deere Credit programs,” said McGrady.

By taking advantage of John Deere Credit Revolving Plans, consumers have greater access to professional landscaping goods and services – and nearly every market niche is seeing the benefits of this increased demand.

“With affordable financing plans, homeowners are bringing their landscape and outdoor amenities up to today’s new standards,” said McGrady. For example, for a few dollars more a month, clients can add night lighting, water features, patio decks or other popular upgrades.

A choice of John Deere Credit Revolving Plans is currently available, including 180 days same-as-cash or 6.9 percent financing for 48 months. The programs are applicable to landscape purchases between $1500 and $20,000 and are limited to residential projects.

Homeowners can apply for John Deere Credit financing only through qualified professional contractors who participate in the John Deere Landscapes Partners Program. For homeowners who select the 180 days, same-as-cash program, no payments are due for the first 180 days. If the account is paid in full within those 180 days, interest is waived.

Homeowners also have a choice of 48 monthly payments at 6.9 percent. The programs are subject to approved credit on the John Deere Credit Revolving Plan, and the current terms are valid for homeowners who apply by July 31, 2002.
