Companies To Test Market A 3 Year Warranty Program On Nursery Stock

John Deere Landscapes and Plant Health Care, Inc. have entered into a ten (10) year agreement in response to a successful pilot program. The warranty program offered landscape contractors a three (3) year warranty on select, eligible nursery stock purchased and planted under the guidelines of the program.

“Based on the feedback and success of the program in the test markets, John Deere Landscapes is compelled to roll out the program nationally. The mitigation of risk to plant life is a valid and prudent business need for the landscape contractor,” said Frank Bates, Vice President of Operations for John Deere Landscapes. The program provides eligible contractors with a three-year warranty to replace failed nursery stock planted under the program guidelines that include use of PHC? Tree Saver?, a mycorrhizal fungal inoculant that promotes plant health.

The program requires eligible landscape contractors to be trained and certified on the terms of the program and proper planting procedures. The program is a trade warranty extended to the certified landscape contractor that is purchasing eligible nursery stock, and it is not transferable to the property owner.
